5 Tips to Keep Your Drivers Safe

 At the job site or on the road, safety should be priority #1. Keep your drivers out of harm’s way by practicing these 5 tips.

  1. Practice safe driving behaviors.

  • Connect a GPS tracking device to each vehicle’s onboard diagnostic system
  • Track speeding, hard braking and other unsafe behaviors
  • Properly connect trailers or tow-behind equipment before disembarking
  • Always be aware of your surroundings,
  • Use mirrors and signals at all times
  • Observe stop signs and stop lights; watch for pedestrians
  • Wear sunglasses for morning and evening glares
  • Stay alert and awake, stop for coffee breaks
  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescription)
  • Don’t park in front of driveways or fire hydrants
  • Don’t impair driver visibility or drive in blind spots
